This February, we swapped sticks for pens to refle

This February, we swapped sticks for pens to reflect, write and regenerate a collective business plan. We have been working together weaving and teaching for several years and we took the step this winter to make our group an official co-op bringing together willow workshops, caskets and artisan crafts. Our caskets are now on display at the Helyg Gallery and Basket shop in Harbour Centre, Antigonish NS. Visits by appointment with @siangwynnebaskets.

Being able to work as a group allows us to respond

Being able to work as a group allows us to respond quickly when the need arises. We recently shipped a casket across the country. As a collective, we all pitched in to make sure the casket arrived at its destination as quickly and securely as possible. This was our first shipped order; and we keenly felt both the honour of being chosen and the importance of a smooth delivery. After stuffing the mattress with wood shavings, the casket was tucked into a blanket and custom made crate. We try to use as many reusable and biodegradable materials as possible in our packaging. The customer was appreciative of our efforts in meeting their requests and the beauty of the casket. Sent with love and condolences from coast to coast.

Blessings on the spring! Giving thanks for the opp

Blessings on the spring! Giving thanks for the opportunity to weave a custom casket for an 80th birthday. The family plans on enjoying it as a coffee table or storage chest, filling it with memories before using it for burial when the time comes. This was a beautiful, joyous build as we felt both the honour and importance of being chosen for such a special commemoration. #greenburial #willowbaskets #willowcoffin #weaversofinstagram #commemoration

We are trying out some new ideas; enjoying stretching our fingers and imaginations in new shapes and styles. No finished work to show yet as we continue to explore the best match for materials, design and function. Any ideas?

We will take $1000 off the base price and also cover the tax. We have two of the small size and one of the large size available on sale.
